  • Contact Data: Your email address if you submit a Bug Report, Feedback Form, or Support Query via our website or in-game tools.
  • Technical Data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system platform, and hardware specifications (CPU/GPU) for crash reporting and optimization.
  • Usage & Game Data: Information about how you play our game, including match history, kill/death statistics, weapon usage, game session duration, and unlocked achievements.

2. How We Collect Your Data

We use different methods to collect data from and about you including:

  • Direct Interactions: You may give us your Identity and Contact Data by filling in forms (Feedback/Bug Reports) or by corresponding with us by email.
  • Automated Technologies (Game Client): As you play Assault Sector, our game client automatically collects Technical Data and Game Data to facilitate multiplayer connectivity and save your progress.
  • Third Parties (Steam): We receive your unique Steam ID and authentication token from Valve Corporation to verify your ownership of the game and enable multiplayer features via the Steamworks API.

3. How We Use Your Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we use your data in the following circumstances:

  • To Provide the Service: Using your Steam ID and IP address to connect you to our dedicated servers (hosted on AWS) and matchmaking systems.

  • To Provide Support: Using your Contact Data to respond to your bug reports or inquiries.

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard providers. We do not sell your personal data. We may share your data with the following third-party processors:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): We use AWS (London/Europe regions) to host our dedicated game servers, PostgreSQL databases, and website infrastructure.
  • Valve Corporation (Steam): To authenticate your account and manage cloud saves/achievements.
  • Legal Authorities: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Frag Pulse Ltd and our players.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for.

  • Game Stats: Retained indefinitely to maintain your career progression and leaderboards.
  • Server Logs: Retained for a limited period (typically 30-90 days) for security and debugging, then deleted.
  • Crash Reports: Deleted once the relevant technical issue is resolved.

TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the video game Assault Sector (“Game”), including all online services, software, dedicated server tools, updates, communications features, and any related content provided by Frag Pulse LTD, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom with its registered office at Unit 24 Highcroft Industrial Estate Enterprise Road, Horndean, Waterlooville, United Kingdom, PO8 0BT (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By installing, accessing, or using the Game, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Game.

1. DEFINITIONS

For purposes of these Terms:

  • “Game” means the software titled Assault Sector, including all updates, patches, bug fixes, downloadable content, dedicated server tools, and all related features and services.
  • “Steam” refers to the digital distribution platform and services operated by Valve Corporation.
  • “Company Services” means all official online services operated by Frag Pulse LTD for the Game, including official servers, matchmaking, account verification, analytics via Steamworks, and community management tools.
  • “Community Server” means a player-hosted or third-party hosted dedicated server running Assault Sector server software made available by the Company.
  • “User Content” means any content you submit through feedback forms, bug reports, or other communication tools within the Game.
  • “You” / “User” means any individual who accesses or uses the Game.

2. AGE REQUIREMENT

You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Game due to depictions of blood, violence, and mature themes. By accessing the Game, you represent that you meet this requirement. The Company does not permit minors to use the Game.

3. LICENSE GRANT

Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms, the Company grants you a:

  • Personal
  • Limited
  • Non-transferable
  • Non-exclusive
  • Revocable

license to install and use the Game on your PC through Steam. You do not own the Game itself; you are granted a license to use it.

4. LICENSE RESTRICTIONS

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Game.
  • Attempt to manipulate or bypass game systems, networking, anti-cheat monitoring, or server logic.
  • Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Game or server software.
  • Use the Game for commercial activities (tournaments, cyber cafés, rentals) without written authorization.
  • Upload the Game or server files to any distribution platform.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, cheats, hacks, or unauthorized third-party software.
  • Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities.

Violation of this section may result in immediate termination, bans, or legal action.

5. ONLINE SERVICES & RISKS

The Game features online PvP, text chat, voice chat, matchmaking, and multiplayer interactions. You understand and agree that:

  • Online interactions are not fully controllable by the Company.
  • You may encounter high latency, disconnections, lost progress, or unstable performance.
  • You may interact with players whose behavior is abusive, toxic, or inappropriate.
  • You should report violators using in-game or Steam reporting systems.

6. CODE OF CONDUCT

Users must behave respectfully and may not engage in:

6.1. Cheating or Manipulation

  • Hacking, exploiting, modding for competitive advantage
  • Using software to alter gameplay
  • Packet manipulation or network tampering
  • Running scripts or macros

6.2. Toxic Behavior

  • Harassment, threats, stalking
  • Hate speech, racism, discrimination
  • Sexual content or sexually explicit communication
  • Excessive swearing, offensive or violent language

6.3. Disruptive Actions

  • Griefing, teamkilling, trolling
  • Impersonating staff or developers
  • Spamming, advertising, or phishing attempts

6.4. Voice & Text Chat

You may not use chat to:

  • Spread malware or harmful links
  • Encourage self-harm or violence
  • Organize cheating or harassment
  • Share personal information (doxxing)

Violations may result in temporary or permanent bans, loss of access to online features, or revocation of your Game license.

7. ANTI-CHEAT MONITORING

The Game includes a built-in anti-cheat system that may:

  • Monitor gameplay behavior
  • Analyze server interactions
  • Detect suspicious activity or modifications
  • Enforce bans automatically or manually

The system does not scan files unrelated to the Game. By playing the Game, you consent to this monitoring. We may add additional anti-cheat systems in the future, with notice provided through updates or patch notes.

8. DEDICATED SERVERS (COMMUNITY + OFFICIAL)

The Game supports both official servers operated by Frag Pulse and Community Servers hosted by users.

8.1. Community Server Hosting Rules

If you host a server:

  • You must use unmodified server files provided by the Company.
  • You may not charge players for access unless authorized.
  • You must comply with all laws, including data protection.
  • You must enforce anti-cheat and Code of Conduct rules.
  • You must not misrepresent your server as “official.”

8.2. Server Data

The Company does not guarantee: Server stability, Player data persistence, Availability of server APIs, or Ongoing compatibility after updates.

8.3. Server Shutdown Rights

We reserve the right to: Update or retire the dedicated server software, Remove support for old builds, Shut down official servers with reasonable notice. Community Servers may continue operating unless technical changes make them incompatible.

9. USER CONTENT (FEEDBACK & BUG REPORTS)

The Game includes HTML-based feedback forms. By submitting feedback, you agree that:

  • The Company may store and use your submissions.
  • You grant the Company a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your feedback for development, marketing, or support.
  • You will not receive compensation for submissions.
  • You will not submit harmful, unlawful, or copyrighted materials.

No other user-generated content is accepted in the Game.

10. DATA & PRIVACY

The Game uses Steamworks API for: Authentication, Matchmaking, Basic gameplay statistics, Achievements, and User identity (Steam ID only). The Company does not collect behavioral analytics or tracking data.

We do collect and store: Feedback form submissions, Bug reports, and Support inquiries. All data use is governed by the Assault Sector Privacy Policy, which you must read and accept to use the Game.

11. REFUNDS & PURCHASES

All purchases, billing, and refunds are handled exclusively by Steam. Steam’s refund policy applies in full. Frag Pulse LTD does not provide independent refunds, reimbursements, or chargeback handling.

12. UPDATES, PATCHES & CHANGES

Assault Sector is a live digital service. You agree that:

  • The Company may update, patch, modify, or remove features at any time.
  • You may be required to update the Game to continue playing.
  • Some updates may affect mod tools, Community Servers, or gameplay.
  • The Company may discontinue online services with reasonable notice.

You are not entitled to future updates or ongoing online service operation.

13. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Game (including online features) if you violate the Code of Conduct, cheat, disrupt the Game, or breach these Terms. Termination may be permanent, and bans do not entitle you to refunds.

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for loss of data, progress, stats, network failures, or player misconduct. The Company’s total liability will not exceed 100 USD or the amount you paid for the Game, whichever is greater.

15. “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WARRANTY DISCLAIMER

The Game is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee error-free gameplay, compatibility, or indefinite operation. This is standard for online multiplayer games.

16. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, excluding conflict-of-law principles.

17. EU CONSUMER RIGHTS

If you are a resident of the European Union, you retain all mandatory consumer protection rights under EU law.

18. UNITED STATES EXPORT & SANCTIONS COMPLIANCE

You represent that you are not located in a country under U.S. embargo, on a U.S. government sanctions list, or attempting to use the Game for restricted activities.

19. SEVERABILITY

If any clause in these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in full effect.

20. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms occasionally. If changes are material, we will notify you through Steam or in-game messages. Continued use of the Game means you accept the updated Terms.
